The problems of Xfinity devices that seem to be connected without the Internet, misled me like everyone else. Because of this, my work was left unfinished and I could not enter content on my blog. While I was preparing content for my blog page before, I got the “Connected, No Internet” error many times on my Xfinity Wi-Fi device. I have tried many different ways to find a solution to this problem I am facing.
By trial and error, I finally found a solution to my “Xfinity connected without internet” problem. ✅
Today I will tell you about these methods that I have tried and proven. If you follow these steps that I will tell you carefully, you will eliminate your problem.
Restart Your Wi-Fi Router
If you’ve been experiencing frequent outages with your Xfinity internet service, you may want to reboot your Wi-Fi router to fix this problem. You can do this by pressing the ‘Reset‘ button on your router for at least five seconds and then release it. Your router should reboot itself within a few minutes.
While rebooting your router will not fix your internet connection, it can help to fix a variety of network-stage problems. Using the Xfinity Status Center will help you determine whether your service is down and where it’s down. You can also power-cycle your system by unplugging it for at least a minute.
Router Reset Using Xfinity App
- Open your Xfinity My Account App.
- Select the Internet option.
- Select Modem/Router.
- Finally, click on Restart This Device.
- Wait a few minutes for the router to fully boot up.
After rebooting your router, you may want to use the ‘Reset‘ button to restore its factory defaults. When the timer expires, the router should restart in its default settings.
Check Xfinity My Account
If your internet connection is slow, you may want to check your Xfinity My Account. Xfinity has developed a nice app for solving internet connection problems – My Xfinity Account app. For example, you can fix Internet connection problems using this application. This application, which is used by many people, provides solutions to some problems that your Xfinity internet is connected to. Also; you can also access the Status Center to see if there’s a network outage in your area.
This requires you to first download the app and sign in with your credentials (or create one if you don’t have one). First, make sure that you have the correct account number. You can find this by using the Xfinity My Account app, which is available for both Apple (Apple app go) and Android (Android app go).
Transactions to be made with the My Xfinity Account application;
- After opening the application, select the Internet option.
- Select the device showing the problem from the device list.
- Android users should select the Troubleshoot option.
- Apple users should select the Restart this device option.
- Click Start Troubleshooting to start the scan.
- The troubleshooting will take a few minutes.
- This process eliminates the problems that cause problems with your internet connection by performing the necessary system checks.
- When the scanning process is complete, click Restart Device.
- Once the reboot starts, wait for a few minutes and then check if the Internet is back. If fixed, click Yes. If not, click No. If you click No, more options will be displayed to solve the problem.

If the internet connectivity problem is still ongoing, you can contact Xfinity Customer Support. If the issue cannot be resolved online, you can schedule an appointment with a technician.
Check for Power Outages
Another possible cause of the “Xfinity connected without internet” issue is a network outage. Wi-Fi routers show a “Connected, no internet” issue when a general network outage occurs in your area. Outages are usually due to maintenance, adverse weather conditions or hardware failure, etc. may be due to reasons such as.
You can check your Xfinity Status Center to see if your home is experiencing outages. If your area is affected by an outage, a banner will appear on your device with details about the outage. If the outage is recent, you may be able to get a credit on your account for the lost service time.
As we were unable to identify the source of the network outage, you should report the connection problem to Xfinity. To do this, you can open the Xfinity application and report the outage via the outage map. The outage map within the app shows the different Xfinity Wi-Fi routers affected by the outage.
You should check the network status from time to time through the app after notifying Xfinity. Because Xfinity keeps information about network status up to date. Also, sometimes there are times when you exceed the data limit. If you’ve overused your internet connection, Comcast Xfinity may be throttling your internet connection.
Such interruptions are quite frustrating. Because there is nothing you can do. You have to wait for Xfinity to fix the problem before you can connect to the internet. However; there are some ways to get online while being without Internet access, such as using a smartphone as a hotspot. Although you won’t have the same speed as with your home internet, this is a great backup if your home connection is down for any reason.
Troubleshoot your device
If the device you are using has a connection problem, you can restart your device. Sometimes devices may experience connection problems due to problems such as IP conflicts.
If this step doesn’t fix your issue, you can use Xfinity xFi to detect some issues your internet is connected to.
How to Fix Connection Problem with Xfinity xFi? ✅
If you are having a problem with one of the networked devices, select it from the Connect section of the xFi web portal or the Xfinity app. On the device page, scroll down and select Troubleshoot Device. Follow the instructions to identify what the problem might be and get tips on how to fix it.
If testing reveals that there may be a problem with the device’s connection, you will be given relevant troubleshooting tips to improve the connection and signal. If it shows a problem on more than one device, you can understand that the problem is not with your devices. You can continue with the other solutions suggested by the xFi portal.
Clear Cache
If you’re unable to access the internet with your Xfinity Wi-Fi router, you may need to clear the cache. Often, pent-up cached data is the culprit behind internet-access issues. For example, surfing the web, watching videos, downloading files, etc. which require high data processing often leaves a lot of cache data on your system as well.
Internet operations like this and programs that use large amounts of data fill the cache on your system. That’s why we strongly recommend clearing your cache to solve the “Xfinity connected without internet” issue.

Run a Ping Test
Another way to test for the problem with your internet connection is to ping a web address using your device. Ping is the name given to the signal sent to another computer over the internet network and then returned in the same way.
Steps for Ping Test
For Windows 7 or Later;

- Open the command prompt.
- Run the ping www.google.com command.
- Watch the ping test for 1 minute.
- If there are ping losses, your internet connection is problematic.
- You can use the Ctrl + C hotkeys to stop the command system.
For Mac Os X;

- The tool is used on devices with Mac Os X operating system.
- Go to Applications > Utilities > Network Utility and click on the Ping tab.
- You can ping by typing the web address you want to ping in the command prompt that opens.
- Run the ping www.google.com command.
- Watch the ping test for 1 minute.
- If the ping time is 100 ms or more, it indicates ping loss. Also, if you get the “Request Timed Out” warning many times, there is a problem with your internet connection.
Physical check of cables
You should check if the Xfinity Ethernet cables are intact. Also, cable kinks, loose ends, etc. We recommend that you check one by one to see if it is available.
It could be an ethernet cable that looks solid but isn’t working properly. If you have the opportunity, you can test a different ethernet cable instead of your ethernet cable.
Conclusion
When you follow the steps we explained in our article on “Xfinity Connected But No Internet Access“, you will be able to solve your internet connection problems. Be sure to try to restart your wifi router, reset the router using the Xfinity application, fix your device problems, make sure your internet connection settings work properly and stable, and perform some test operations.
