#Step1
Enable Guided Access then open the app
Guided Access can be turned on or off by setting a passcode. This passcode should be different from the one you use to lock your phone. You can also use a shortcut to turn on Guided Access. To do so, you can triple-click the Home button or the Side button, or open an app and swipe up from the bottom.
Also, You can start a Guided Access session with Siri. To do this, first, open the app you want, and then say “Turn on Guided Access” to Siri.
Once you’ve activated Guided Access, open the app. To do this, triple-click the Side or Home buttons. The screen will shrink, and the guide will help you navigate through the app. You can also choose to turn off specific areas of the screen, such as disabled buttons and media playback controls.

- if you’re using Netflix, Dictionary Look Up won’t appear, while Dictionary Look Up will be enabled if you’re using the Safari browser.
- You can also toggle off the Sleep/Wake Button and disable the volume buttons.

After the updated software version is downloaded, tap the ‘Install‘ button for the installation process. Wait for the update to finish without doing anything else during the process.
Finally, turn Guided Access back on and test it. For this, activate the feature you want to enable on the application you are having trouble with and check if it works properly. If Guided Access is still not working properly on your device, try restarting the device to reset it.

iPhone X, 11, 12 or 13 Restart
- Press and hold the volume button and side button until the shutdown screen appears to restart.
- Drag the slider to turn off the device, then wait for 20-30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is unresponsive and frozen, force restarts your device.
- Press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo to turn your device back on. It takes approximately 20-30 seconds for your device to boot up.
iPhone SE (2nd or 3rd generation), 8, 7, or 6
- On 2nd and 3rd-generation devices, press and hold the side button until the shutdown screen appears.
- Drag the slider that appears on the screen, then wait 20-30 seconds for your device to turn off. If something goes wrong during the process i.e. your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restarts your device.
- Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo to turn your device back on.
iPhoneSE (1st generation), 5 and earlier
- Press and hold the top button until the shutdown slider appears.
- Drag the slider, then wait 20-30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restarts your device.
- Press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo to turn your device back on.
Restarting the iPad
- The operations are almost the same. Press and hold one of the volume buttons and the top button until the “off” slider appears.
- Drag the slider and wait 20-30 seconds for your iPad to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restarts your device.
- To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until the Apple logo appears.

- Press and hold the top button on your device until the “power off” slider appears.
- Drag the slider and wait 20-30 seconds for your iPad to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restarts your device.
